They are common, a uncirculated coin with no mintmark is $25.00 with an "S" $21.00 and with a "D" $28.00
The only thing made by the U.S. Mint in 1952 George Washington on it is the quarter. You may have been thinking of the Booker T. Washington / George W. Carver Commemorative Half Dollar, but that's not George Washington on the front, and there's no Liberty on the reverse. So I have to believe you have something that was not made at the U.S. Mint.
