What you have is probably an error coin. The missing number in the date results when that portion of the die used to strike the coin becomes filled in with metal dust, oil, grease or some other foreign substance and thus prevents that number from being stamped on the coin. Value varies on these coins depending on condition but they are not uncommon and I would not pay more than a dollar or so for the best one.
