America joined the Great War, or World War I, primarily due to several factors, including unrestricted submarine warfare by Germany, which threatened American commercial shipping and led to the sinking of ships like the Lusitania. The interception of the Zimmermann Telegram, in which Germany proposed a military alliance with Mexico against the U.S., also fueled public outrage. Additionally, there was a growing sentiment to support the Allies, particularly Britain and France, in their struggle against German aggression. These factors combined to shift public opinion and political will towards entering the conflict in April 1917.
The United States remained neutral in World War I for nearly three years, from the war's outbreak in July 1914 until its entry in April 1917. During this time, America maintained a policy of neutrality despite growing economic ties and political pressures related to the conflict. Ultimately, factors such as unrestricted submarine warfare and the Zimmermann Telegram prompted the U.S. to join the war on the side of the Allies.
because America was too proud to join in and they thought they should remain neutral
because world war 1
will do my best but as i know the key in WWI for America to join was having a secret coded message intercepted and finding out this said pretty much for Mexico to attack America from the south so they would be distracted in their own war away from Europe so they did not join the triple Entente so all and all that is a key cause to why America joined in to the war
The war was over so America could focus on other national concersns such as education

America joined World War II in 1942 primarily due to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which galvanized public opinion and prompted a formal declaration of war against Japan. Following this, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States, further solidifying America's involvement in the conflict. The attack on Pearl Harbor shifted U.S. policy from isolationism to active engagement in the war, as the nation sought to protect its interests and allies.
