Medieval tools were much like our modern day tools. Iron was widely used and garden tools today are pretty much the same as those used way back then. Scissors were used by the barbers of the day as well as blades used for shaving.
The scissors were hand made and were much more crude and rustic than the modern day shiny and very sharp machine created versions.
