'Killer bee' is a name invented by the sensationalist media. They are more properly called Africanized honey bees.
The honey bee more usually found in America is the Western, or European, honey bee (apis mellifera mellifera), but this is not at its best in tropical regions so in the 1950s there was research into finding a strain of honey bee that would better tolerate high temperatures. At a research station in south-east Brazil in 1957, 26 Tanzanian honey bee queens (apis mellifera scutellata) accidentally escaped. These mated with local drones and their offspring have slowly spread northwards to the southern United States, being first found in Texas in 1990, and southwards to the edge of tropical South America. They don't tolerate cold weather very well, and this may limit their further spread.
Despite the reputation given to them by the media, they look no different from a Western honey bee, and their sting is no worse. However, they are less docile and more ready to protect their hive by stinging -- hence their reputation.
The colonists had bees shipped to America in hives. The first arrived in the Jamestown colony and spread throughout the area.
They came with the colonists that came from England to America. The variety of honeybee is Apis mellifera, the European Honeybee.
The plants that are brought to America by the Europeans are apples, grapes and peaches. The English brought experimental boat right after the pilgrims that have honey bees in it.
The number one killer in the Civil War was dysentery. This caused severe dehydration and diarrhea and many soldiers died from bowel disorders.

It depends on if the honey badger can overcome the bees. The killer bees will win, but you have got to take into consideration that the badger might be stronger than we think.
Killer bees are called killer bees because they kill people and other mammals.
aggressive honey bees
They aren't. There is a hybrid strain of honey bee which is properly called Africanised bees, and they tend to be more aggressive than normal honey bees. They are only found in South America, Central America and southern states of the United States. These Africanised bees have been known to attack people and livestock for no apparent reason and some people have then died from multiple stings. The media picked up on this and nicknamed them 'killer bees'.
