Lincoln F. Brown was the youngest child of Samuel and Elizabeth (Brandon) Brown, Sr. born on the family farm in Xenia, Ohio, Oct. 7, 1866. In 1862 he invented the "Bridle Bite" used for riding a horse. On Oct. 25, 1892 his invention became patented. He also wrote a Christian booklet in 1908 entitled, "The True Way or The Way of Truth". He died on the family home in Xenia, Dec. 10, 1928. Ethnically many would characterize he and his family to be mulatto, others would discribe him to be black. Most importantly he was a child of God and lived a Christian life until the time of his death.
