While the Vikings made some minor explorations of North America and had temporary colonies there, contact with Native Americans was limited. Records from the time recount limited trading, and at least one incident of violence.
Because most Americans aren't native, They came over from England(hence the term New England) to escape the churches. The people that were here before Europeans are considered Native because they inhabited America before almost anyone else. Everyone else that is an American came from all over the world. Since the founding fathers wanted this country to be a mix of all origins anyone that resides here is classified as an American. All of the non-native Americans did not come over from England only, they came from all over Europe and later on Asia and Latin America and they came over for a variety of reasons not just to escape the church, they also came for land, economic reasons, political reason etc.Native Americans are those who are descendants of the first people in America. Though most Americans are, in fact, native to the land by birth, most Americans ancestors were not native to the land, thus they aren't called Native Americans.
The Native-Americans. Neanderthals.....
They ARE native to America. Every group migrated from Africa, but the first ones to the area become native to that area._______________________________________The answer to the question: Why are Native Americans NOT native to America is: Because they immigrated from Asia. Like all American's they traveled to North America from elsewhere. You cannot prove a negative, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Without evidence, and or theory to the contrary it is assumed that the facts supporting that "Native Americans" are native to America is true. Native Americans have proof of at least 10,000 years of existence in the same place as they are now. Human history dates back approximately 8,000 years, as a measure of reference.
No, Native Americans are from tribes like the Cherokees and other tribes. They originated in America. Indians are from the country India, and are a whole other group of people from the Native Americans. The reason why Native Americans are sometimes referred to as Indians is because, when Christopher Columbus was sailing to India, he accidentally ended up in North America where he called all the Native Americans, Indians.
No are you thick or something
Skraelings were native americans from the time when the Vikings first came to north America. The name was given to them by the vikings.

yes the vikings did reach america after colonizing Greenland, this was done by viking Leif Ericson. Contact with the native americans is unclear but they probably traded timber with them. However they left shortly after settleling newfoundland Canada.
coz they wanted food.
The Vikings decided not to set up a colony in North America because it was so far away from home and they were repeatedly attacked by Native Americans.
The Native Americans arrived in America when the crossed the Beiring Strait in prehistoric times. The Vikings arrived prior to the other Europeans in about 1000 CE. Then the rest of Europe (Spain, France, England) arrived during the 16, 17, 18th Century CE
that is correct, the vikings were in America long before anyone else, they had colonized there and became the natives...
i dont know the answer
Besides the native Americans it was the vikings who discovered North America...SO COLUMBUS ISN'T A HERO AS U THOUGHT DID U NO HE WASN'T THE FIRST HE WAS THE SECOND
Probably the Vikings.
The Vikings didn't colonize the Americas because the Native Americans that were already living there drove them out. That's not really true. The vikings did settle part of Easter Canada
