one of the many reasons why Native American Tribes suffered after the Revolution is Disease . Especially the smallpox virus .For example the Cherokee. Nearly all the population of the Cherokee tribe was wiped out because of the smallpox epidemic that took place. The source of this epidemic however, was the Europeans. When the Europeans came to the so called ''New world'', they brought the smallpox virus with them, through trade with the native tribes. Unlike the Europeans, the natives were not accustomed to this and the epidemic struck. This is one of the many ways this question can be interpreted.

During the American Revolution, various Native American groups chose to support the Americans, notably the Oneida and Tuscarora tribes, who allied with the Continental Congress. These tribes sought to protect their lands and autonomy against British encroachment. However, many other tribes, like the Mohawks and Senecas, sided with the British, hoping to preserve their territory from American expansion. The involvement of Native Americans in the revolution was complex, reflecting diverse interests and strategic considerations.

The American Revolution had a profound and often detrimental effect on Native Americans. Many tribes were caught in the conflict, with some siding with the British in hopes of protecting their lands from American expansion, while others allied with the colonists. After the revolution, the new American government largely ignored Native American rights and land claims, leading to increased encroachment on their territories and subsequent loss of land. Ultimately, the war intensified the marginalization and displacement of many Native American communities.
