Spain and other countries were branching off and conquering more land so England wanted to have a bigger empire as well, although they were already the most powerful country, they knew that if other countries got bigger, they would be the ultimate power, Spain and Portugal had parts of the south America....... so they decided to conquer some of the North America... and get in on the new land... they were very successful at it
back in the 1570's the English culture was noun as the white English culture and they would treat them like they were really bad people. so they came to the 13 colonies to get respect. They knew that is conneticut they would respect them mostly.
The English colonists who came voluntarily mostly came for religious freedom. The Puritans, Quakers, and others were among those. Some came as a result of being transported for crimes by England as indentured servants. Their passage was paid by those who they would work for until the debt was paid.
