The Intolerable Acts started in Britain. King GeorgeIII and Lord North came up with a ton of taxes like the Stamp Act, Quartering Act and many more. They showed the taxes to the British Government and they passed or denied these taxes. The colonists did not have anyone representing them in Britain.
