Well, it really matters what side your on. The Loyalists point of view was:
1) The British Army protected their goods and explorers in the Appalachian Mountains.
2) The British were America's number one customer, and you do not fight your number best customer. They would lose Britain's business if they separated, and therefore lose money.
3) The Britain Army was number one in the world. They had far more experienced soldiers than America. Without France's help, we would not have won.
