Age of Empires 2 I understand all you really need is someones IP address or host name to be able to play multiplayer Is it allowed abel to give you IP address and play with someone if yes are ther?

the game has a button in the multiplayer menu that when u press it...it will give u ur ip.

to play the game online u got 2 options:

1: over LAN (local area network) where the computers are all connected with each other through the router...in which case all u have to do is turn off the firewalls and start playing

2: over the internet for which u will have to be connected straight to the modem, no router or anythign else in between, also turn off ur firewall...give ur friends ur ip and they can join u
