Can a sim die in sims 2 pets?

Nope. They only pass out.

actually they do die. they will most likely fall on their knees dramatically and then to their side. then they will lie there curled up into a ball on the floor. then the grim reaper will show up, check his cell phone, look at a clip board, and take his little staff-ma-jig and make the body rise up into a bright whole into the sky.

No your Sims on Sims 2 pets for ps2 cannot die.

But they can pass out from starvation, and the paramedic will automatically come revive them.

Or, if there is another sim in the house, you can have that sims revive the sim that passed out, if the paramedic takes too long to come.

You can revive a sim yourself by having another sims walk close to the passed out sim, and press the "X" button, then select "Revive"

nope, not really unless its something freaky like a fire they die in.

as you probably know, you cant control a pet - only drag up its mood etc with cheats - its the same thing as trying to control a baby :L

if you really don't want your pet, the best way is to have it re-adopted by the pet adoption agency thingy via the phone - or just have your sim hate it and it will run away (:
