This was one of the things I was curious about when purchasing my new slim Xbox 360. You may know that with the older versions of the Xbox 360, it included a code inside the box which gave you a months free free trial of Xbox LIVE. However, this has changed with the newer slim consoles, including ones with Kinect. You are not given a code within the box, instead you are offered a one months free trial when creating an Xbox LIVE account on your new console. So, if you already have an Xbox LIVE account, you will not be given free Xbox Live when purchasing a Xbox 360 Slim. To get a free trial you will have to create a new account on your console, were it will be offered to you after declining a payment for Xbox LIVE gold membership.
Yes! When you buy a new Xbox 360 Elite when you proceed to create a new xbox live account you should find that the account will be given a free month (30 days) of xbox live. This is the case with the first 3 accounts created on that console.
Technically you can have an account for free. You only need to pay ~$50 a year to play online with friends, use apps such as facebook, video apps, and other things like that. So yes yo ucan have an account, but there's a limited amount you can do with a free account.
Depends on whether it's Xbox live or not. You can make one free that doesn't, have Xbox live
