If a teenager sneaks out, there is a 50/50 chance that they will return home safely. On the other hand, they might also be brought home in a Police Car. If this happens, I assume that the parents and the teen would be lectured. Since this has never actually happened to me, I don't know if the teenager is automatically arrested or if it has to happen a few times.
If you are employed in the Criminal Career Path, you can only go so far before the polcie eventually catch on. I don't know if you get arrested, because I have not been arrested on the Sims 2 before, but I assume that there will be consequences.
If your child or teenager has bad grades, they will be taken away by a Social Worker. It doesn't count as being arrested, but it has just as bad an impact on the family.
