Unless you trade from someone who used one of the listed above.

Change: wrong this is false you can get celebi in Pokemon silver, gold and crystal by means of having every single item in the game (possible without GameShark) and every Pokemon (counting the ones through trade) if you bring every item with you and have the first six Pokemon you caught all at level 100 to the shrine in center of the forest right before goldenrod you use headbutt on the shrine and celebi comes out and sends you (my guess) 2000 years into the past due to no buildings or pathways there are several paths you can take and if you follow the first 3 you are lead to a sleeping ash (yes the character from the anime) although his name is changed to red at the end of the game for the final challenge, you continue onto the path to find a furious celebi level 50 celebi when maxed at lvl 100 has a max of 412 att 360 def 500 special att 210 special defence and 200hp although i would advide bringing either 300 ultra balls or 1 master ball due to the fact the celebi is the hardest Pokemon to catch,

(to those of you who like keeping you first six Pokemon classified get a totodile at the beginning catch a pidgey, magikarp, and save til after morty the 4th gym leader and catch a tauros, toward the end catch the red gyarados because that's the chance of getting him blue instead of red as a shiny Pokemon, at the end catch either dratini or dragonair for a dragonite due to dragonite being the strongest non legendary in the game which youll need for a strong defence against celebi. celebi has these four moves when you fight him, teleport:transform:mimic:psychic be cautious because that's why i said get a gyarados for mean look so he can't escape and then weaken him using direct attacks from feraligatr such as str because if you use this once he may die so save before celebi because he is extremely fragile opponent when you fight him and is extremely difficult to catch, good luck. btw if you notice on the far right pathway you face the spearow that knows cut in the forest before golden rod ;) just goes to show that Pokemon can live for a long time.

I don't think you can. The pokeflutes will at least let you see Celebi.
