Can you trade Pokemon with the pokewalker?

To get a Pokemon into the Pokewalker you have to have HeartGold or SoulSilver, and go to the start menu on the game and click "Connect To Pokewalker". The pokemon you want to have in the Pokewalker has the be in your PC Box. To use the Pokewalker you press and hold the middle button to turn it on. to get Watts you have to walk to steps on the pokewalker to get 1 Watt. To catch pokemon on the pokewalker you press the Right, Middle, or Left button and go all the way to the Left (you need 10 Watts to attempt to catch a pokemon). to find an item you can either walk around until your pokemon finds an item or you can get 3 Watts and go to the icon next to the middle icon on the left and search for an item. To return your Pokemon GO to the start menu of your HeartGold or SoulSilver game,Connect to Pokewalker and then press "Return From Stroll, turn on your pokewalker and go to the middle icon and when your DS says "connecting to Pokewalker" press the middle button and place the Pokewalker behind your DS and wait until your DS receives your pokemon from the Pokewalker.

In order to use the Pokéwalker, you need to use the "Connect to Pokéwalker" option in the "HeartGold" or "SoulSilver" menu and if you want to take your Pokémon for a walk then you have to select "Go for a Stroll" and you have to make sure that you have placed the Nintendo DS system in a way so that the top of the DS game will be pointing directly to the top of the Pokéwalker device. In order to return your Pokémon, you just have to select "Return from a Stroll" however make sure both devices are pointing directly at each other. You can use your Pokéwalker as soon as it's registered to your game regardless of whether you have sent a Pokémon in there or not, it'll be counting steps as you walk with it which will amount to a certain amount of watts. You can use watts in the Pokéwalker in order to look for items or to look for Pokémon that you can catch and then send into your game.
