Well like all things some do and some don't. Now some mmorpgs that ask for an e-mail might give you spam. And you should Google drive by download for info pretaining to things that download with out your permission

Only from sites that are not reputable. If you go places like pogo, penguin, atari, etc, you are fine. The obscure ones are the ones to watch. Ironically the most dangerous thing to search for on the web is information about viruses or trojans. Since there are trojans designed to get you to buy software to prevent them. Scan your computer once a week and immediately after anything suspect. If you get a virus-don't go back. Illegal music sites are full of them,-as obviously there are no safeguards since no ones paying for them. So are porn sites, bogus freind requests fromm facebook and myspace and ask has a toolbar that is a magnet for them. If you have unknown toolbars, bonjour, system tool etc in your programs, get rid of them and scan (full scan)
