Well, first you can unlock Cyber Sub-Zero in story mode, by completing Chapter (i forgot) then you can unlock Quan-chi by completing all the chapters in story mode. finally there will be new characters that you will be able to download by downloadable content from the mk company. you can get to the downloadable content menu by going to extras in the main menu.
