How do you catch mewto in Pokemon Red?

Getting Mewto in Emeraldyou have to trade it from firered or leafgreen Answeru can use an action replay. that's what i did. but trading works too.

ok first go to dream island you will need the mystic ticket/gotten off of GameShark or action replay it is not that hard ounce you see it it will go into the grass follow it ounce you find it it will be level 30 i hope this helps

Get all the gym badges, defeat the elite 4 and the champion. Then return to Cerulean City, go up on the route, surf to the Cerulean Cave and go through it, there is mewtwo, just weaken and sleep/paralyse and throw ultra balls or just throw the master ball if it's still in the backpack

You can only get mew in japinese Pokemon games.

The only way to get a Mew is to recieve it from an event, trade with another person who has one, or to get to level 25 in Pokemon Ranch so that Haley will trade you a Mew for a Pokemon egg.
