Yes, Yami Yugi is the encased spirit of Pharaoh Atem, locked inside the Millenium Puzzle. Yugi was the present-day incarnation of Pharaoh Atem and was destined to solve the puzzle and release his spirit.
Episode 13 of the Duel Monsters series had Yugi and friends turn into monsters while Yami played against the evil spirit of the Millenium Ring. Yugi was the Dark Magician.
Do you mean when yami bakura plays a game with yugi and yugi's friends are cards in the game? If so, then it is episode 13 i think, evil spirit of the ring
Yami Yugi does not appear in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. In the Original Anime, Yami Yugi was only the spirit of the actual pharaoh. He was not actually the ruler of Egypt. This position was reserved to Pharaoh Atem, the living embodiment of the spirit Yami Yugi. Atem, when he was about to disappear, abdicated his position to his cousin, High Priest Seto, who became the new Pharaoh of Egypt.
Yami Yugi does not officially have a first name. He is only the spirit of Pharaoh Atem, an Ancient Egyptian ruler. So in answer to your question, Yami Yugi's first name would technically be "Atem".
To advance in level with your Spirit, you must Summon its corresponding card in a Duel (it cannot be Set). You do not have to do anything with it. You only have to bring it out face-up on the field once to gain Level Points. Note that bringing out more than one copy of the card will not change the amount of points you gain for your Spirit. A Spirit may only gain up to three Levels. Each Level that it advances in, it will give you another copy of the card it represents (you obtain the first copy when you get it as a Spirit). Also note that there is no other way for you to obtain the cards within the game without the use of a cheating device such as Action Replay. They are not available in any booster pack. You can, however, enter the passcode for the card once you get the first copy.
Yugi Muto (pronounced Moto) is the main character of the Yu-gi-oh! Original Series. There is a controversy as to whether Yugi likes the only female friend of his that has always been with him from the beginning, Tea, (who is referred to as Anzu in the Japanese version of the show,) or the spirit that posesses the Millennium Puzzle, known as Yami, Yami Yugi, Pharaoh, and Atem. Read the manga to find out the truth on the matter.
yusei is better than yugi moto, but yami yugi is better than yusei.
