How do you close wizard101?

You can leave wizard city but only if you complete it. Once you do that, talk to Merle Ambrose in his office and he will open up the spiral chamber to you, allowing you to travel to different worlds like Krokotopia, Marleybone, Mooshu, Grizzleheim, Dragonspyre, and soon: Celestia.

If you are playing in fullscreen mode, just either press the little Windows button on your keyboard. That will bring up the start menu and the game will be pushed down the taskbar where you can close it. Or, you can click Esc while in the game, click quit, and then quit again and you'll exit out,

That didn't help me much. It will be pushed down to the takbar and stays there which is not what I want. Because the steps mentioned above didn't work for me.

Press ESC. That will take you to a page that has a quit button. Press that, that will take you to your character screen. Press "exit" on that.
