Just right click on the file and click "Delete File(s)"
UPDATE: IF IT WONT DELETE YOUR SCREWED!
In your minecraft.jar file, (which you need winRAR or 7-Zip to open with), delete the META-INF file.
Did you delete "META-INF"? That acts like a sort of "Anti-Hacking Device". Also, When you download a mod, MOST of them need ModLoader. Put the Modloader file in the Minecraft.Jar file THEN put in your mod. Remember to delete Meta-Inf!
It might not download because your bin file is corrupt. To fix this go to your .minecraft folder and delete the bin file in it. If you don't know how to get to your .minecraft all you need to do is run "run" (in your start menu) and type inand then find your .minecraft file.
if you've already right clicked and there is no delete option try dragging it into a new folder and deleting the new folder instead of deleting meta-inf (it will still get rid of the meta-inf folder, but not directly
You simply delete the bin file, reopen Minecraft, and it will automatically reinstall.
you download the optifine file, and drag it all into the minecraft.jar in the bin folder in the .minecraft folder, making sure that you delete the META-INF file, otherwise it wont work, and then when you log on to minecraft, go into video settings and play around with it, and change the controls for them in the controls.
Place it in your Minecraft WinRar file, located by typing in the search bar- > Roaming - > .minecraft - > Bin. (For Windows). **To get it to work you will also need to delete META-INF so your minecraft does not crash or end up on a black screen.
It's located in the minecraft.jar file.
Try it again. Delete the .jar, reopen Minecraft, it'll redownload a vanilla .jar. Then do the exact same thing.
right click and click "move to trash" or "delete"
You can delete Minecraft from your computer by locating the file Minecraft.exe and right-mouse click on it and press delete. If you don't know the location of the file you can search for it using the search bar in the start-menu.
Delete the minecraft.jar file in the BIN folder in the .minecraft folder. Then run Minecraft again. It should download the most recent version.
