How do you finish new Super Mario Brothers?

Actually, I'm kind of confused about this myself, because everyone says that you have to gain all 150 power stars to win, but you can actually win with only 80 stars, I've done it! All you do is get 80 stars, go to the top floor in the castle, go to the clock room, go up some stairs, and then there will be the endless staircase, but fortunatly, if you have over 80 stars, it ends. After you go up, go to the end of the room and jump in the little hole thingy, go threw the course, and at the end you will battle Bowser. After he is defeated, collect the shining star he elaves behind. You will start to fly, and do all these things. You will automaticly fly to the front of the castle, and Princess Toadstool aka Peach, will come out and thank you, and that's how to win the game. I hope that helped! enjoy!

You have to go to the room with the minigames in it. There is a door that has 8 stars on the front of it. Through that door is a long greuling level in which you save and unlock mario. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

First you need Mario and you unlock him by beating goomboss. when you have Mario you go to the little garden place with the star fountain. there should be boos (ghosts) there with red coins in them. You need to kill all the boos by punching them from behind. when you kill all 8 a star will appear. get it, then come back to that place with Mario after doing some more levels. (make sure that you've done the first bowser level called Bowser in the Dark World) when you come back the second time then look for the biggest ghost. kill him and go into the little cage that falls out of him. do the first level by killing all the small ghosts in the mansion (you go inside) then a big one will come and you defeat it then do the next level as you do it go upstairs by the stairs that appeared. (to make them appear stand on the gray patch of floor and they will rise up)go into all the rooms and look for the room with the little platform with the ? box above it. wall-kick against the wall or use the question box to get up to a little plat form on the ceiling. go into the door and into Luigi's painting. youll be on a merry go round with 4 doors. try all of them until you get to a room with gray walls.again, try all the doors in it but if you get the wrong one you go back to the merry go round. just go through the same door and keep trying all the other doors in the other rooms.in the last room just run across the bridge and then get up onto the platform. the platform will move you to the next one and so on. then go down the hole and go right up to the mirror. walk alongside the mirror then you stop, and you see yourself as luigi. you beat big boo the same as before. be careful because he sends fire at you.

If you mean the n64 version, then you must collect all 120 stars, beat the Boswer in the Sky level, and talk to Yoshi (for people who don't want to know where Yoshi is I've scrambled these letters) no opt fo hte stlace orfo.

If you mean the DS version, then you need all 150 stars (7 in each course, 15 gotten by collecting 100 coins in the main courses, and 30 hidden stars), must free Mario, Luigi, and Wario, and beat the Bowser in the Sky level.
