Your problem is with Hughes net not being able to work because it does not have the capability. The PS3 for instance requires Broadband or DSL for the internet Service and Hughes net is more like a FAST dial up speed internet service that just does not have the ability for high speed gaming even the Power 200 plan has speeds way below what is actually tested for my Comcast High Speed connection. However if you want you can try to upgrade your service plan for $50 more per month to the Power 200 because it does have suggested speeds at up to twice the basic plan levels and my Comcast speeds are higher than other Comcast users with gaming capabilities
