How do you get gold Pokemon?

well i have heard that if you breed a red garydos ( you will find it at lake rage) with a normal one you get a egg that egg hatches to become a gold maigkarp and i reckon the other gold Pokemon are done by GameShark hope this helped also in the ilex forest (there is only one of them in da game) you can find a gold caterpie and it evolves into a gold metapod and a pink butterfree

defeat the five kimono girls, then talk to the manager. He will give you HM 04 surf.
