You're not supposed to get the red orb after the magma emblem. If catching Groudon and Kyogre is what you're trying to do, then you have to defeat the elite four ( Pokemon league ) , and then go to the weather institute near fortree city, and talk to a guy there. He'll tell you where they are so you can catch them.

idk but in emerald go to lavaridge town and go down the ledges that take you to lavaridge and there will be an earthquake and a secret entrance to magma hideout will open actually the orb has nothing to do with that, you dont even obtain it, it is stolen by team magma and returned after you beat the story line... the earthquake and the door to the magma hideout is triggered once you walk by it with the 'magma emblem' obtained from the old lady at mount pyre after team magma steals thhe red orb
