How do you get rid of weeds on Animal Crossing other than pulling them up and digging them up?

That depends on the version of Animal Crossing. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the only way to get rid of them is to pull them up, dig them up, or restart your town. In Animal Crossing for the GameCube there was a ghost names Wisp that would sometimes appear late at night, and if you managed to find ?5? spirits around town within one hour, he would offer to remove all your weeds.

To get rid of weeds you can either press B in front of a weed or dig them up with a shovel. There is one more way at night on a random day Wisp will come and get rid of all your weeds but I'm not sure if that is true because i haven't found him yet.

Edit: Since the release of the new game in the series; "Animal Crossing New Leaf", you can press B to pick up weeds or dig them up using the shovel, much like the previous games, but two new ways have been added. If you have to much weeds, you will find Leef near your house asking you to pick up weeds in exchange for a prise (A peice of the Flower Set of furniture), or you can pay 20,000 Bells to Leef (Found in the gardening shop/store), and Leef will get rid of every weed on your island/town.

I disagree in animal crossing lets go to the city there is a gohs called whisp who can get rid of all your weeds Usually monday nights, but sometimes random days. After all the shops in your town are closed at night, you will hear a voice by the southeastern corner of the beach. That is Wisp. But apparently you can find the lamp during the day and them find the ghost later on at night. The lamp will give you the option to remove all weeds in your town, remove all cockroaches in your town, or give you a random hard to find item
