you don't. you go on top of the newspaper building and the old super hero is there and he says come back when you have defeated 5 villains.after that go towards the building and the pay phone will ring and you get the power to fly to beat the villain.

You beat Wimpy Boardwalk and put on the flip flops but you can't wear them anywhere else. :(

Here are the steps to take to get flip flops on poptropica: Head over to the trashcan near the fun house. If the lid is not on, obtain it from the ride next to the cotton candy. Move the trashcan to the cotton candy stand and open lid. Look inside until you find the empty popcorn bag. Refill the bag at the popcorn stand and bring it to the beach where you will see a lady laying down. Place it there and see the lady leave. Use metal detector to find car keys and give them to the lady standing next to the fun house. She will then give you the flip flops.
