The quest item Lynx Collar can be looted from lynxes in Eversong Woods near the blood elves' racial starting area. The collars are needed for one of their starting quests. These lynxes are a red-brown sort of colour with triangular ears. They should not be too hard to find or kill.

The specific lynxes that you can get Lynx Collars from are around the blood elf starting zone, and may not drop from higher level lynxes outside the zone.
