You can't de-level your skills in any way, only level them up.
You can however avoid leveling that skill completely by all means.

yes , BUT precautions should be taken....i took down my first demon when i was level 46 , I had no armour but i was dressed like a mage. i only survived because i bought an entire inventry full of food (cooked tuna) . i was weilding a rune longsword and a adamant spikeshield (100) =] hope this helped P.S rune 2 handed swords are highly accurate on a lesser demon but only do this if you have a high defence level

a " yew" is a tree and u have to have a certain lev. to cut them down you have to have level 60 woodcutting to cut a yew tree
