How do you get your friend code on Super Smash Bros. brawl?

Once your wii is connected to your internet connection access the Nintendo wifi connection mode on the main menu of super smash bros brawl after it loads up your connnection if this is your first time connecting you will receive a friend code if you accidentely press a button and make the screen go away don't panic just go to the With Friend Mode then Friend Roster your profile will appear on the top and your friend code will be also there.
