Note that this Easter egg can't be easily accomplished by holding the wii remote sideways. For best results it's recommended to use a Gamecube controller.

(This is assuming you're not using the Wii remote sideways, otherwise try this with your different taunt combinations) The best way to accomplish this is to brush a corner of the control pad with the tip of your finger.
If done correctly, Snake will crouch. If he stays in this position long enough without being interrupted or without moving, you'll eventually hear the familiar ring of the codec followed by a conversation between Snake and either Otacon, Mei Ling, Campbell or even Slippy about one of the opposing characters. This call can be interrupted if Snake is KO'd in the middle of it.

Go to the shadow moses stage as snake and on the gamecube controller if your using it press the D pad left and right back and forth snake eventually will duck down and start calling the Colonel, Otacon or Mei Ling. Also on the wii remote and nunchuk press 1 and 2 together several times. When you make the call depending on your opponent Colonel, Otacon or Mei Ling will talk to you about your opponent for example lets say your battling captain falcon Otacon will talk to you. If you are battling Falco a different person will talk to you not Colonel, Otacon or Mei Ling it will be Slippy.
