How do you make Snake call Otacon in Super Smash Bros Brawl?

Note that this Easter egg can't be easily accomplished by holding the wii remote sideways. For best results it's recommended to use a Gamecube controller.

Snake will call Otacon on his codec if you press down on the control pad very briefly. (This is assuming you're not using the Wii remote sideways, otherwise try this with your different taunt combinations) The best way to accomplish this is to brush a corner of the control pad with the tip of your finger.

If done correctly, Snake will crouch. If he stays in this position long enough without being interrupted or without moving, you'll eventually hear the familiar ring of the codec followed by a conversation between Snake and either Otacon, Mei Ling, Campbell or even Slippy about one of the opposing characters. This call can be interrupted if Snake is KO'd in the middle of it.
