"Pures", as they are called, meaning accounts dedicated to one or two specific skills only, are not official characters as a part of Runescape, meaning, that, there is no special option to create pures. To create a pure, you simply make an account, and, on tutorial island, you only do each task once, except for the task which contributes to the skill you want to become a pure at. When you get off, you don't train any other skills, but just the one you focus on, unless you decide you don't want to be pure, anymore.

Im a pure in Runescape and it really means when you do an account and you have only 1-2 skills to train on and no more. pures dont get defence unless you are a defence pure. There are many types of pures. These can vary from strength (that being the most common) to summon pures. Many people choose to be pure for either fighting, or just the general fact that you are a much lower level with a particular item than most. For example, a level 40 attack pure can wear a godsword. There are many people with different opinions on this matter. Some people hate pures, others love them. Another type of pure is a hybrid (mixture). This is when, for example, you have about 60 attack, 80 strength and 1 defence. Being hybrid means that you also train range and mage. These stats will NOT grow you a combat until you get around about in the mid 70's to the early 80's (apart from the HP levels you grow, if any). Prayer is also a very common stat for a pure to get as at level 25 you can "protect item" meaning that, while activated, you can keep 1 extra valuable item should you die. Most pures will get 1 of 3 different prayer levels. 31, so that they can protect item and use the prayer "Ultimate strength" (increases strength by 15%), 43 prayer, used for protect melee (especially useful against PJers when you have made a kill) and 52 prayer, for smite (lowers your opponent's pray by 1/4 of the damage you hit on them.) PKing and Training Equipment: These two are VERY different things. Training equipment are items you use for training just to get xp and PKing equipment are more advanced to help you kill your enemy. For example, you're training at rock crabs. You would use a msb (magic short bow) and some iron arrows. If you're pking, you would use msb and rune arrows for that extra damage that they inflict (you could also use dragon arrows and a dark bow, depends on your PKing methods). Steel, black, mithril, adamant, rune, zerker, dragon and barrow pures: these are pures that may have got defence, either by accident or because they wanted their combat higher to fight the higher levels with better loots. Steel pures are basically pures who have 5 defence. This may seem pointless to some, but to others it is a very good advantage. It will increase the chance that someone will hit you by a fair bit (and is about 1-2 combats higher than a 1 defence pure). There is about a 0.05% chance that someone will hit a 0-0 DDS (dragon dagger P++, the "S" meaning Super for those who were in the older RS) special attack. the pures basically go up from there(Black pures will have 10 defence etc.) the most common types are probably zerker (berserker) pures. These pures will have about 45 defence (sometimes they can have about 47 odd). Dragon pures are arguably a pure. They are people with just 60 defence, though are often teased by other players for considering themselves a pure. Barrows pure seems to have been accepted by people as a type of pure. This is when they will have about 70 defence for barrows equipment (this is most commonly done for those who PK in the Dharok set) though can be used for other sets such as Verac's. Most common PK weapons: there are many weapons used to PK. Here is a list of the most common ones used: * Armadyl Godsword (special hits 25% more damage than normal attacks) * Dragon dagger P++ (used for the KO as it uses 2 attacks at once. meaning it can slaughter those who are unprepared) * granite maul (often used between levels 44-70 but some higher levels use it. Its special is a "quick attack" which will swipe 2 times again instantly provided you click the special attack bar twice. Used for quick KO's either with range to maul or blitz to maul) * dragon claws (arguably the most powerful PKers weapon. Its special attack will hit 4 times which can be used to hit a damage of over 70. Sometimes the claws will "fail" meaning that they will only hit a 0-1. each special attack uses half the bar) * Dharok's (used to hit high from the special effect which hits harder when the user falls below 10% health. This can be used to hit in the mid 90's against players although this is rare. Players may also use it for training with a salve amulet (e) to hit 100+ on the undead.) A pure is basically a person who focuses on only a couple of stats. Having 99 in a stat at a low level is considered a pure. most pures try not to train defence so they do not complete quests which give them defence experience. Except if this pure were to be a tank. A tank is pure who trains defence ranged and magic.
