I searched long and hard myself for the answer to this question. In theory I think my idea might work. Simply adopt a child using the phone ---> services. Then using the birthday cake age the kid up to the point you want them. You can't really edit them as much but using the challenge/karma rewards there's a redo the personality and wishes thing. That's unfortunately apparently the best you can do. Stupid I know.
