How do you paint stairway walls?

Well...

all you have to do is put a paint brush on the wall and rub it up and down

........ then you have to let it dry then paint a different color over top of the other color but only half paint it... then your wall will be PERFECT!!!!!!

Indoors or outdoors, I'd recommend using an oil based (alkyd) enamel paint. You might check your local hardware store to see if they have the "gritty" paint you roll on to give the tread some slip resistance.

There's several ways of doing it. You can bull-doze the stairs out of the way and paint it, or you can just stand next to the stairs and paint it.

This depends on how high they are and the construction of the stairway. The safest way is to rent scaffolding and set it up on your staircase.
