How do you to beat tabuu on ssbb?

It is actually quite easy, it took me awhile but I finally got it! What you must do is use the hardy fighters like DK or Bowser and maybe even Meta Night. What you can't do is use Lucario or Sonic they arn't strong although they have good speed and power. Basically I'm trying to say use the STRONG AND HARDY fighters!

Some more advice:

First of all, you can Dodge Tabuu's off-waves by dodging (Shield + a direction button)

Also, there are a few characters who do incredibly well in boss battles.

First of all, Charizard. His Side Special is the most damaging attack in the game. Ice Climbers are second, having powerful attacks all round (damage wise). DK is also good because he has the mobility and power.

Metaknight isn't a good character for boss battles, because he basically just doesnt do enough damage. The same goes for Sonic.

Lucario is a mixed bag. If you deliberately let yourself get hit by the attack where he sprays the tiny bullets or where he teleports behind you and starts slashing, you can get high damage where he starts doing good amounts of damage to Tabuu.

OR,

The best way to beat him is fight him with your 6 best characters and get to learn his attacks. After two or three rounds you should be able to see what attacks are coming. When you have the opening after an attack lay in to him as much as possible! You can get him! And why not, they are your 6 best guys after all.

It depends on the difficulty level you are playing at. On easy, he is not that tough, you just need to hang around long enough and land some attacks to take him down.

On Normal, which I played my first time through on, he was a pain. All of this attacks are powerful, but the good news is that most of them can be dodged and he gives various warning signs of when he is going to attack. The one that cannot be dodged at all, is when he releases red shock-waves across the stages; on Normal this results in a instant KO no matter who you are using.

I cant say anything for Hard, Difficult or Intense mode.

The red waves are called Off Waves, and may kill you instantly, but ways to avoid them are to put your shield up and hit down on the control pad or D-Pad, also known as dodging. I am a pro at it on lower difficulties, although I have not tried it anywere above Normal

Simply put, you can dodge the "Off Waves" by Z(shield) and down, left, or right.

Here is a list of his moves and how to avoid. these are the names i give some of them.

Shark blade: Duck or jump.

Pinpoint blast: you see the 4 pointed stars appear and dissapear? stay out of the way.

Grapple Smash: stay on the other side of the screen, or get close to him then jump out of the way.

Off waves: Hold shield then down 3 times but you need to do it on good timing.

Sword Slash:stay on the sides of the screen. or jump in the air if your in the middle.

Ninja Star:Same with sword slash except twice.

Bracket hook:Stay above it, dont get under it if you have partner who got caught.

How to capture(trophy): HE must have low HP, it must kill him, and he must be ABOVE the platform.

All you do is punch and hit him until his lives drain. To dodge his shockwave, jump super-high into the air and press the shield button. (Wii with Nunchuck: press Z) You will be invincible from the shockwave until you hit the ground. Also use a team of characters with good Up+B attacks I used Ike, (starts you of with power, but he is not very good at coming back after getting Knocked of the stage) Pikachu, (good Up+B attack and fast dodge (Z+left, right, or down)) Fox, Falco, (they both have fire attacks just jump up so you are by tabuu then Press Up+B, but as soon as you press Up+B press down) Lucario, (Gets stronger as he takes damage) and finally a person that you are good with, this will make it so that your last life lasts longer (I still suggest that you chose some one with a Up+B attack that can shoot can shoot You up really high, this could be used as as a triple jump.) U just beat SSE. After this, u get a bunch of stages, trophies, assist trophies and a new mode, boss battles. After u beat him work on the challenge board. Also, get wolf, toon link, and jigglypuff. to get wolf, go to the ruins until u go to the place where u go on a lowering platform. the bottom has a door to fight wolf. for toon link, go to the forest and go to the first floating door u see. Jigglypuff is the hardest. to get him, go to the swamp and go to the place after fighting diddy kong. Go to the first door u see, but be careful. the difficulty put on jigglypuff is tripled, so use your most awesome character.

You cant unlock/play as Tabuu OR Master Hand/Crazy Hand. Reason Why: After you unlock "The Final Three" (Toon Link, Jiggilypuff, and Wolf,) It says: "Congratulations!!! you've unlocked EVERY character"

select your favorite characters from the character selection. when you see tabu open up his wings the only way you can avoid it is by sidestepping.it also depends on the type of difficulty it's on.

It's nearly impossible! It would take a gaming master to defeat an enemy like Tabuu on intense! I can't even beat'em on easy!
