There are many ways it gets the RRoD.The way Microsoft made their system is why. When you take the top and bottom off the outside of the xbox all you have on the inside is the motherboard sitting inside a metal case. if you take the mother board out of the case and flip it over you see 2 X clamps and around those X clamps are some little cards. and over them are these lil heat obsorbers but they can only obsorb so much heat and when they can obsorb anymore the cards get too hot and cant breathe and also the heat sinks. 1. The heat sinks could have alot of dust in them and can get no air through to keep the system cool. 2. the heat sinks and the X clamps on the bottom could be messed up. To decrease the risk of gettin the Red Ring of Death is to get your xbox in an area where the top and bottom have atleast 8 in. away from any enclosed area and the back atleast 5in away. and every once in a while i say about every 3-6 months use a air can and spray inside the wholes to remove as much dust as possible. Hop I helped

It will freeze a lot. If you have a white Xbox the ring will turn red.
you can get the red ring on any type of xbox 360. do not leave it on all night or u will find out the hard way.
It depends what you mean: If you mean should people refer to it as just 'red ring', then the answer is no, as it doesn't emphasise the way that it causes the Xbox to effectivfely 'die', meaning that it is no longer usable. Additionally, 'red ring' may be referring to the way that all four lights light up red when the output is not connected to any device (e.g. the Xbox 360 is not plugged into a TV). If you are asking whether Microsoft should stop the red ring from causing the Xbox 360 to stop working, you have been misinformed. The red ring doesn't actually cause the Xbox 360 to break. Instead it is a side-effect or a warning message as a result of a problem with the Xbox 360.
