You could also get as many as you want using the W-Item glitch

the best way to get elixirs (or any item) in FFVII is to use the "W-item glitch" you need at least one elixir for this trick to work on this item. With the W-item materia select elixir and use it on somebody then when you are taken back to the item screen to use your second item select any item and when the cursor goes to a player to use it on do not use it instead press cancel then select the item again then repeat. the elixirs in your inventory will duplicate every time you select and cancel. if this description is not clear then just search W-item glitch on Google or something.
