How many sims can you have in one game?

The most I've had has been four people. The wife, husben, daughter, and son. Then when I wanted to try for another baby, the option didn't pop up. When I called the orphanage, they said my family of four is already full. But people use a certain cheat to get more than one child and their houses full of children.

only 8 Unless you use a cheat code........ Foe instance using the boolprop code which if you need it is "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" exactly like that ( you can get to the cheat code by pressing controll +shift + c ) you will have to reset this code every time you start playing. This code let's you hold shift and click someone/ thing to come up with extra things you can do for example if you shift click the mailbox you can click make mcp or somethin like that and make Bigfoot part of your family and have as many people as you want in your family and you can drag their need bars to full. you can have as many children as you want but you are only aloud 8 in the house hold,hope this helps :)

Well for Sims 3 PC you can have eight people in one household or six
