How many video game conventions are there?

There are many video game conventions. Two of the biggest are the Electronic Entertainment Expo, which takes place in June, and the Game Developer's Conference, which usually takes place in March. There are numerous smaller conventions that take place throughout the year, for example the Penny Arcade eXpo, as well as conventions where Video Games are represented but are not the sole attraction, like SIGGRAPH. More big news comes out of GDC and E3 than other conferences.
