Flying mounts can be obtained for 5 gold each. The skill to ride them can be obtained in Outland and Dalaran, and costs 250 gold.

Epic Flying, the highest mount skill currently available, costs 5000 gold and can be learned at level 70. Flying mounts at this speed cost 50 gold each.

All costs are reduced by having a high reputation with the faction from which you purchase the skill or mount.

You will also need Northrend Flying Training to fly in Northrend. This can be bought for 1000g (No faction discounts available) from the flight trainer in Dalaran. You must be 77 or have the Tome of Cold Weather Flight (BoA item available to level 80's) to train this skill.

in Hellfire peninsula and for the Horde you can buy a flying mount in Thrallmar (Wind Rider Jahubo). Since the advent of the expansion Cataclysm, you can also buy flying mounts in the capital cities for each faction. Horde:in Ogrimmar, in back of the Hunter trainer building; and Alliance in Stormwind City, where the flight master is.

In Northrend. Valiance Keep, the seller is next to the flight point. Dalaran also sell some flying mounts. If you want the basic ones, you will have to go to Honor Hold in Outland.
