just play around. The triggers are already set up for you, so u basically only have to work w/ terrain and balancing. Try to make it asymetrical. (Even)
Start by determaning the number of players, say 4. Then find a nice sized map. (Dont use a 256x256 for 4 players, likewise, dont use a 64x64 map for 12 players)
To make it nice and even, just cut it into fourths with a river, mountain, or whateverthehell. Then give each player a gold mine. (Important. No gold=no game) then in the center of the map put another gold mine, for the players to fight over. Then add nice looking things (doodads, terrain, ect) in each sector of the map. (Make it balanced. Dont give 1 player no room to build.) Add some neutral creeps, then place the start locations by the gold mines.

You don't enter codes onto Warcraft 3 world editor. Once you buy Frozen Throne, World Editor should come along with it. But you have to enter the CD codes into Frozen Throne but not World Editor.

Dota is a custom game created using the warcraft 3 world editor. If you want to edit dota, you need to purchase warcraft 3. Dota is a protected map, you can not edit it!
Warcraft 3 World Editor, it should be located at your local Warcraft III file.
right click your wc3 icon and click open file location then in that folder that opens find world editor and open it, world editor doesnt have anything to do with clans
You open the wc3 folder and hit campaign editor.
Basically once you load your warcraft 3 game into the computer you just click start menu, go to the warcraft 3 file and find then enter the world editor. It is very confusing at first but once you get the hang of it you'll be creating maps to kill time.
