Actually, no one specific person came up with the idea of mythology. Story telling is a strong point of our culture, that is why we as humans have so many different varieties of stories, from the drowning of Osiris at the Nile, to the fox reaching for the cluster of grapes. Different people groups came up with their own special twists to add to myths, making the stories what they are today.
