by far! PS3s last longer, they are built better, and the online play is better and also free. Xbox 360s are cheap, but they break in around 4-6 months, depending on how much you play it. and you have to pay around $20-$50 dollars for Xbox Live, which is very laggy. Everyone i know who owns a 360, had some problem with it. my friend's cousin's house burned down because their 360 shorted out, and they sued Microsoft for 100,000 dollars! the only small issue with the PS3, is that the fans are a little bit loud, but they only go on high when you play for 6-8 hours. so its not that annoying, and you can also get silent air coolers for around $20. so i strongly recommend the PS3.
i have a Xbox 360 i got it when i came out still working like new the online connection is way better then ps3s my friends ps3 burnt and i play my xbox alot sometimes
