This is a discussion / opinion, not a factually answerable question. A much stronger case for NOT banning them can be made, however:
Computers have streamlined and rewritten the way humans exist. Our ability to grow and produce is absolutely impossible without computers. The number of jobs created by computing could never be absorbed if computing ceased tomorrow, and the results would be beyond catastrophic. (Imagine hundreds upon hundreds of millions of people no longer earning money / spending money in the economy)
