What Minecraft mods would you recommend?

Lots of different people have different opinions but if it's for the ease factor I'd have to say zombe fly mod, This allows you to fly around on Singleplayer or Multiplayer and skip all the Mobs down below.

If your looking for a cool mod I'd have to say the Aether Mod which adds a Skyland where there are new mobs, new dungeons, new items, and it makes minecraft 10x more fun than it is on it's own. You can get the mod by googling Aether Mod Minecraft.

Too Many Items is an ingame inventory editor. It is easy to install, and below is a tutorial on how to install Too Many Items.

If you are interested in mods that aren't so much game changing, I recommend Inventory Tweaks. It makes your inventory much more manageable, and it really helps oorganize your inventory.

That really depends on what you like. For instance, Single Player Commands lets you spawn mobs and make your character do cool stuff, like fly. Mo' Creatures ads new mobs to the game. Too Many Items (I think it may actually be all one word...) lets you do inventory edits in-game. I think. Some mods are kind of a pain to install, but most of them are worth it :)
