What are hell hounds in black ops 2?

Hell hounds appear in Black ops 2 Zombies and you have the option to play with or without Hell hounds.

Hell hounds are "zombified" dogs that spawn on special rounds. They spawn when lightning strikes (it also means they are nearby) and start to chase you when they spot you. They can be easy to kill with shotguns (this is not advised since they can hit you multiple times should you go close to them) or automatic weapons. To avoid getting cornered, run around until you have 4-5 Hell hounds chasing you and then turn around and start "hip-firing" while walking backwards. Normally they can down you with three hits, but should you have Juggernog, then you resistance to them is raised to five hits.

At the end of the round, you get a max ammo for completing the round. It is dropped by the last Hell hound.
