Pitfall seeds are little white circles with an orange exclamation mark in the middle. You get them from the lost and found at the main gates and you can also dig them up. You can not donate them to the museum and you can't sell them, however tom nook will dispose them for you. If you bury them and someone walks over it, they will fall in. Its funny when its not you and can be annoying.

You CAN bury them near another villager in town (of yourself) and fall into it. (To 'push' another villager into a pitfall, keep walking at a person, and you will eventually move them a little.) Watching someone else in peril is always fun to do on a rainy day in the Animal Crossing world!

getting gyroids in animal crossing wild world you can get gyroids in acww by walking round you town. when you see a crack like you would for a fossil or a pitfall seed, walk over it and if you fall in it then its a pitfall seed. if it doesnt then its worth somthing. get out your shovel and if its a fossil, better luck next time. if its some kind of gyroid then vuala you have your own gyroid!
