list some advice:

good codes to use:

wild Pokemon modifier

all items (when completed game it is a safe code)

any toher cheat that doesn't sound risky.

100% catch rate

bad codes to use:

egg produce quickly (when no Pokemon is in the day care)

egg hatch fast (high risk of getting a bad egg)

walk through walls cheat (if you out of area)

catch trainers Pokemon

evs or stats higher then the maxinum

Pokemon can learn any move

codes off the internet (that don't work or do the worng thing eg. dark arceus)

It may crash your game if you do something wrong. But it can be very helpful.

There is always a risk that by constantly cheating, you may never see the point in playing any game properly; rather like cheating at exams, what is the point if you don't actually achieve anything for real?

I used an Action Replay on my DSi with Pearl, and froze the game. The software was wiped and my DSi got a minor bug. Action Replay can be fun, but use it with caution and never use untested codes.

Yes there are risks.For instance your game may be deleted,mest up or very glitchy.I think doing a back up save is good.To avoid this dont use to many cheats at once.After all,your hacking your game.Hope this helped.
